We are trained to safeguard your children so we can ensure children are getting the best care and are always kept safe and secure. Disclosure Baring Service (DBS checks) are Completed. Our staff are passionate about working with the children and strive to improve their training knowledge and development.
All our staff have good working relationships with each other and an inclusive approach with parents and children.
The Nursery operates an inclusive and open-door policy. Places are offered on a first come first served basis, however, should there be no immediate availability, we have a waiting list in operation.
When offered a place at The Nursery you can request to look at the policies and procedures manual. Please read our enrolment forms carefully as this is a legal agreement between both parties that you are required to sign.
They must be completed prior to your child starting nursery. Please contact us or call into the nursery to discuss our current availability.
Once you have enrolled your child at The Nursery we can arrange some settling in sessions for some, the separation can be quite a traumatic time for both parent and child.
We recommend that you bring your child for an initial visit. This gives our key workers the opportunity to get to know you and your child. Then we can arrange some short visits for your child. This gives then the opportunity to experience the nursery environment without you being there. We will do our best to make your child’s transition as smooth as possible.
At induction you will receive our induction pack that tells you all about us. you will have an opportunity to tell us all about your child’s needs and development. You will meet your child’s key worker who will provide lots of support and encouragement throughout this period.
Children can attend a variety of set sessions which also include, term time only sessions or all year round. There is a minimum requirement of two sessions, however the more sessions a child attends the more they will benefit and gain from their nursery experiences.
As a full day care provider, we offer sessions between the hours of 8am and 6pm meeting the requirements of both working and non-working families.
If your child is attending the 2-year funded session only, please note that moving them on to a new pre-school on their 3rd birthday is not the best option for your child’s education. We follow the same pre-school curriculum (EYFS) as all the local schools.
Keeping them in a settled environment until they start Primary School is the better option and will promote their all-round development. Research has shown too much change can cause distress and anxiety.
